How to Get High Page Rank With Back Links

It is true that the paid per click advertising is the fastest method to get traffic to your website, but not everyone can afford that, not everyone can have success with that, the competition is very tight, (I know advertisers which are spending ten thousands dollars per day on AdWords campaigns and are using one million keywords in their campaigns), so, when you are new in town, you don't have too much chances to succeed, unless if you come up with something unheard and unseen, and then nobody will look for it.

The free targeted traffic provided by the search engines is the most costless and the safest option for you to run an e-business. But, when you launch a new website, it is a little bit hard to get noticed by the search engines, and even then, it takes time to rank high, because one of the point of view of the search engines in categorizing a website is the age, and they are right, it takes time to gain popularity. So, one of your chances to gain popularity is to gather back links to your website. There are the well known methods, like article marketing, blogging, lenses in Squidoo, Hub pages, search engines and web directories submission, but I want to give you a tip about a special back link, which is right in the Google's backyard. It's called "Google Profiles".

Type in Google Search "Google Profiles", and you will be pointed at the Google's page with the profiles of the owners of Google accounts. If you don't have a Google account you can open one for free in few minutes, and in about ten minutes you can set up your Google profile. You will have to fill the form which is provided there, but you can give only the information you desire (I suggest you to give correct information, if you want to keep something for yourselves, leave the space blank, and that's it, you don't have to lie), and here comes the best part. Google will search all the websites which you own on the net, and gives you the possibility to add the ones which are not yet in his database. And here is your back link to Google and your way to notice Google that you have a new website.

More than that, although Google does not allow you to add tags to your profile, he invites you to post your profile in your "Google Readers" account, and there you can add all the tags you want. If you don't have a "Google Readers" account, open one for free. It is very useful and you can post there bookmarks of all your published articles, blog posts, Squidoo lenses and Hub pages, gaining more exposure for your website.

The Characteristics of High-Quality Links

In search engine optimization, getting links is perhaps the most important thing to do. Without relevant links, it is unlikely that you will be able to rank for your target keywords. This is especially true for profitable keywords. To rank for profitable keywords, you must compete against many other sites. Getting high-quality links can make the difference between making profit or not in such a competition.

The obvious question is: what are the characteristics of high-quality links? What kind of links should we pursue? Without knowing the characteristics of good links, you may spend a lot of time and just get the wrong links. Don't waste your time. Aim to get the right links from the beginning.

Let's learn what makes the quality of a link high.

First of all, a high-quality link has your target keyword in its anchor text. This is the most important characteristic of high-quality links. If your target keyword is in your anchor text, search engines will assume that your site has authority for that keyword. After all, someone is referring to your site using that keyword. Without the keyword in the anchor text, search engines may give you authority for the wrong keywords. You should always make sure that your target keyword is there in the anchor text. Avoid using general text like "Click here" as your anchor text.

The second characteristic is related to the relevance of the page that has your link in it. Your link will be more valuable if it's contained within a relevant page. For example, if your site is about wine and you get link from a wine-related page then the link is good. On the other hand, a link to your wine site from a page about electronics has less value.

The third characteristic of high-quality links is related to the authority of the page that has your link in it. The more authoritative the page, the more valuable your link. One way to know the authority of a page is by looking at its PageRank value. The lowest value of PageRank is 0 and the highest value is 10. You can see the PageRank value of a page by installing Google Toolbar in your browser.

The fourth characteristic deals with the position of the link. A link within a paragraph of relevant text is more valuable than a link on the sidebar, header, or footer. The relevance of the surrounding text gives more value to the contextual link. On the other hand, a link on the sidebar, header, or footer has less value because it has less surrounding text to support it.

By understanding these characteristics of high-quality links, you will save a lot of time in your link building. Instead of wasting time on getting the wrong links, you will directly go for the right links.

High Page Rank Does Not Results in High Search Engine Rankings

"Page Rank" a very well known term to most search engine marketers. The affinity of Page Rank is heard by all for many good reasons. Google introduced the concept of Page Rank in 1998 and since then all search engine marketing professionals have been adopting strange strategies to up their rankings. Is Page Rank worth of all the efforts? One thing which attracts people towards Page Rank is that it tends to reward people for their efforts on a scale of 1-10. Page Rank measures success quantitatively and a factor of happiness for both marketers and their clients.
Since its inception there is only one and one thing which has been extremely important for Google, which is the visitor of the website. Google has always told to the world that sites can achieve high rankings only if they focus on the visitor of the site. Make your site more informative and easy to use for your site visitors and you don't need much in order to succeed in Internet Marketing.

Link building is no different than this. The same methodology should be used in link building. While exchanging links for your website you should keep in mind that the links should offer useful content, rich information and relevant to the topics showcased in your website. Instead of a link algorithm it should be you who should decide the relevance of a link your site connects to.

There are many genuine link exchange offers which are turned barely on the basis of Page Rank, rejections of such link requests results in a loss of abeyant traffic and search engine marketing opportunities for both sides.

PR followers will undoubtedly argue that links on a site with low PR will not help them. If we talk strictly in PR terms a site can easily get a high PR within months if it engages in a genuine reciprocal link program. Everyone should keep in mind that if Google changes it Page Rank algorithm it can easily bring the PR down from 6 or 7 to PR 2 or 3. Page Rank does not help you in achieving the desired ranking in Google search engine. Yes, it may help you in creating a good reputation with your clients and first time site visitors.

I do not intend to nullify the efforts of search engine marketers, but I want my fellow marketers and customers to know the fact that Page Rank does not helps in achieving high ranking in search engines. What matters is the relevancy and neighborhood of the link.
I hope this article makes things more clear and understandable for those who run after high PR links and in the process miss good relevant links. In other words webmasters should pay attention to the webpage and not to the Page Rank.

5 Ways to Raise Your Blogs Or Websites Pagerank

Pagerank is one of the most important factors of your site or blog. It determines how popular your blog is, and also how many websites link to it. If you follow these 5 ways to raise your websites pagerank then you will see some traffic coming in and more people sticking around.

1. Comment many blogs, if you leave 20 different comments on different blogs daily that is 600 backlinks monthly from many sources. 30 minutes of work for so much gain, you will definitely see your traffic improve after a couple months. Make sure to target the niche that you want yo visit your site.

2. Submit your blog or site to many directories, this will take a little more time and will not improve your traffic too much but it does give you backlinks.

3. Guest blog on blogs with high pagerank and write your link on the bottom of the article. Guest blogging is where you write a unique article on a blog for free to raise your pagerank and get a targeted audience to view your site. If people like your article then they will most likely visit your site. This is a very effective method but you must have a unique article only for the site you are gust blogging for.

4. Exchange links with other bloggers or websites.

5. Submit your articles to ezines and social bookmarketing sites, these are very effective methods. There will be a more detailed post on how to do this.

The Problem With Paid Directories and High Pagerank

I thought I would write this little article warning people about some of the paid directories and how they can and are exploiting people with misleading quotes such as high pagerank, charging phenomenal fees for nothing like high pagerank backinks in return like promised or suggested.

There seems to be a pandemic of sites charging in order for a small placement link in a category which relates to the niche website in question. You in effect place your site link in the relevant category and pay a fee which can range from 5 dollars up to and including 150.00 plus, some are free.

However what they don't tell you is that each page has a pagerank, an independent internal pagerank for every page . So for instance, if you had a website with say 100 pages within the site you have 100 separate pagerank pages which can range from a scale of 1-10 depending on various factors.

Failing to check the internal pagerank of where you link is likely to be placed before may save you quite a bit of money for pretty much nothing in return.

Say for instance the web directory in question has a homepage with a pagerank of 7 which may look quite tempting at first thought, however if you cannot place your link on that actual homepage the pagerank 7 counts for nothing.

The best method to check this would be to use free software on the web and locate where in that site your link is likely to be placed and check the internal pagerank of that given page, you may find some of them have a pagerank of 0 or low pagerank.

Granted no doubt these pagerank pages may rise or not over the coming months however it doesn't take away the fact that some directories are claiming high pagerank to sell links, its misleading and should be stamped out.

I don't know about you but I would find it infuriated paying for a link in a high pagerank directory not that I would to later find out that the internal page it is place on has a pagerank of 0 or quite low. In fact it is quite likely to be low for the simple reason that most directories have a lot of categories meaning less traffic to each page which in effect lower each page and each pagerank in the directory.

You also have to take in account the sheer number of directories, this will also decrease traffic volume as more and more directories are built lowering pagerank of each page as traffic drops as more competition emerges. Either these directory owners do not understand pagerank or they are misleading people to make money.

I would also suggest that perhaps there is evidence for refunds in certain cases as it is obvious in some cases of sites exploiting pagerank directories for simple profit. There is little evidence of pagerank internal pages which have the same PR as the homepage therefore little value except for traffic depending on popularity of that category.

Achieve High Google Rankings Using These Five Tips

Does the Internet giant know you? Well, am talking about Google. Getting listed on Google for organic search results will drive a lot of traffic to your dating site. Because organic listings can not be bought, your dating site can only show on it through appropriate Search Engine Optimization. If a dating site or social network site is not optimized for search engines, then the only salvation is using pay per click advertising, which can be costly for a budding dating business. Given that Google controls over 50% of the search market, it is paramount that you optimize your site for Google.

A properly optimized site will achieve a higher ranking in Google, consequently bringing new visitors and potential subscribers to a dating site. Let's look at five ways of achieving high ranking in Google.

Building the right keyword list: If you own a dating site, then you should use the right keywords/key phrases that can bring conversion. Let's consider a dating site targeting a niche dating market like HIV positive singles. In such a case, the keywords you decide to optimize should target HIV positive singles. For instance, you can target the keyword "positive dating".

Unique Title and Meta description for individual web pages: Since every page on a site should have unique content, it does only good that each page title and Meta tags are relevant to the page content. Google takes this into consideration when indexing websites.

Relevant web content: Google hates spam and irrelevant content more that any thing else. Make sure that your dating site has relevant content that provides value to your visitors and subscribers. If your web content looks "spammy", Google will ban your site.

Keyword placement in web content: This is probably one of the most important SEO copywriting techniques. Stuffing the right amount of keywords in your web content will increase the visibility of the keywords. However, you should avoid excessive use of keywords-Google will think that you are spamming.

Building many back links: The main aim of building links is to increase the link popularity of your dating site. There are many ways of building links which can increase your page rank. However, the most common form of link building is using article marketing. Submitting original dating articles to high PR article directory sites like Ezinearticles will bring quality one way links to your site.

Other link building strategies include press release submission, link exchange, dating directory submission and social book marking. In SEO, patience is very important. The above strategies will not yield immediate results, but through persistence, your dating site will achieve high Google rankings.
